Konstantinos Koutsoukis
PhD Candidate

He received his Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in October 2012. His thesis concerned the development of a modeling and a simulation environment with experimental validation for a monopod robot. He is currently working on the dynamics and control of quadruped robots with segmented torso.

Konstantinos Machairas
PhD Candidate

Kostas was born in Athens in April 1989. He received a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece, in February 2013. He works in the area of embedded systems and robotics since 2008. Currently, he is a PhD candidate in the Department of Mechanical Engineering of NTUA. His research focuses on dynamics, design and control of legged robots. Besides his academic research, he has extended professional experience.

Thanasis Mastrogeorgiou
PhD Candidate

He received his BSc in Applied Informatics from the University of Macedonia in Thessaloniki in 2008, MSc in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Edinburgh & MSc in Automation from the National Technical University of Athens, in 2009 and 2013 respectively. His research focuses on perception, motion planning, and control for biomimetic legged robots so that they can handle rough terrains and slopes.

Antonis Aggouridis
Diploma Student

Antonis is a diploma student at the School of Mechanical Engineering of NTUA, currently undertaking his thesis on mechanical design and manufacturing of legged robots. His work focuses on combining traditional with lightweight materials, aiming at lightweight yet stiff robotic chassis designs. He is currently working on the design and development of an improved chassis for the CSL Single Actuated Hopping Robot (SAHR). His interests include structural analysis, CAD, CAM and CNC machining.

Neoklis Vaindirlis

Neoklis is a student at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), NTUA. Currently, he is working on the design and implemetation of the control system of a hopping single-legged robot.

Marianna Sotiriou
Diploma Student

Marianna is a student at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), NTUA. Currently, she is working on the control of permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM) for legged robotics applications. Her interests include embedded systems and motor control.

Thanasis Avgeris
Diploma Student

He is an Undergraduate Student at the School of Mechanical Engineering at NTUA. His current work focuses on building a simulation framework for an agile quadruped robot with legs of three actuated degrees of freedom, using ROS and Gazebo simulator.

Christos Kokas
MSc Student

Christos is an MSc student at CSL. He received his diploma in Electrical Engineering from the University of Patras. Christos is currently developing a simulation environment for ARGOS quadruped test localization algorithms.

Ioannis Zarras
Diploma Student

He is an Undergraduate Student at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at NTUA. His current work involves the development of a ROS package for the creation of an elevation map of a stair, using depth and tracking cameras for a SLAM implementation.
